gnome-terminal crashes when resizing while less is running

Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open a gnome terminal. 2. run less on a file in the terminal's shell. 3. resize the window. Actual Results: about 50% of the time, gnome-terminal crashes with the crash dialog. Expected Results: the window should resize nicely. How often does this happen? about 50% of the time. i've had to train myself not to resize the window while viewing manpages and such, but this really isn't an acceptable behavior. Additional Information: stock red hat 8.0 Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-terminal' (no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 16384 (LWP 1037)] 0x408f37f7 in waitpid () from /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0
