Description Nicolas Dorfsman 2003-05-07 19:41:10 UTC
I used to use gnucash 1.6.x . I'm french, so I use extended ascii chars.

I've upgraded my station to RH9...which includes gnucash 1.8.x .

I tried to open my precedent xac files....many errors appear on my
terminal :

Error: gnc_mbstowcs: bad multi-byte conversion
Error: gnc_quickfill_insert: bad text conversion

....and my file is unusable ! I can read data, but I can't write new
transactions (some of my accounts have intl chars in their names).
Comment 1 Nicolas Dorfsman 2003-05-09 13:29:21 UTC
I've tried to create a new account hierachy.

......accentued chars aren't displayed in wizard (translated) screens !
Comment 2 Christian Stimming 2003-05-13 08:07:19 UTC
I think this is related to bug #110437 . Anyway I totally agree that
this is a rather grave bug in that it makes it impossible to read
1.6.x data files.
Comment 3 Christian Stimming 2004-12-23 10:18:36 UTC
It is now over two years that the 1.8.x series has been released. We can
probably close this bug.
