Description of Problem:

gnome-sound-recorder crashes when exiting after recording a sound

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.   Start gnome-sound-recorder
2.   Record something with your voice
3.   Exit sound recorder

Actual Results:

gnome-sound-recorder crashes with the following dialog:

Application "gnome-sound-recorder" (process 4535) has crashed 
due to a fatal error.
(Aborted)

Or sometimes it crashes when try to save a WAV file I recorded. 
Sometimes it creates the file,
and other times it just creates an empty file.

Expected Results:

1. Non-crashing exit
2. Ability to consistently save audio files.

How often does this happen?

Every time

Additional Information:

Using standard kernel sound modules, and recording brief voice memo via
built in microphone.

how has this been resolved? i have exactly the same problem. you
record, either through mic or jack. maybe 5% of the time you can save
the file.
