GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 109630
panel doesn't autohide if cursor leaves while menu is popped up
Last modified: 2005-04-05 20:35:02 UTC
If you pop up a menu of any sort on an autohide panel, and then move the cursor out of the panel, then the panel won't autohide when the menu goes away. Eg, move to the panel, right-click to get the panel menu or an applet context menu, move out of the panel area, and click to make the menu go away. The panel doesn't hide. Or, if you have the window list in an autohide panel, with grouping turned on (like I do), then basically any time you select a window, the panel won't re-hide properly afterward. (This worked in 1.4.)
should be working in head, not sure if the 2.2 solution would be the same as different things were going on there.
It seems unlikely there will be another 2.2.x release, so I'll just close this bug.
This was working for a long time, but now it's broken again in 2.10. (actually, it still seems to be working for the panel context menu itself, but it's broken for applet context menus and the window list grouped-window popup).
I'm not sure this was ever fixed... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 134563 ***
