GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 109437
Scandinavian characters (едц) are not sent correctly
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When a message containing Scandinavian characters like ä, ö and å is sent using GnomeICU 0.99 the remote end shows it with an extra space after each character so that "päähine" looks like "pä ä hine". This did not happen with GnomeICU 0.98.126 or some CVS version after it (sorry, can't remember which one). My LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.ISO8859-15 and the remote end is running ICQ Version 2002a (?). I guess this is related to the "completed i18n support". Unfortunately it used to work much better for me before :)
I think this is all fixed in the CVS... please verify
Yes, the CVS version works as expected. Marking VERIFIED.
