Description of Problem:

This problem has occurred several times but I have not found a way to
systematically reproduce it. The problem occurs when I try to resize a
newly spawned terminal: a dialog message appears informing me that
gnome-terminal has crashed. Subsequently, all open terminals disappear.
 
The machine load is minimal, I have nearly 1Gig or Ram.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. resize newly spawned terminal windows
2. 
3. 

Actual Results:
All gnome-terminals disappear (I have experience the problem with 5-10 
terminals open).

Expected Results:
A resized gnome-terminal.

How often does this happen?
Once a week.
