My Platform: Intel Pentium II (233)
OS: Windows NT 4.0 (running exceed 6.1)

Attempting to running remotely (telnet) from a Xeon-powered Dell 530 workstation with RedHat 7.3.  Gnome terminal sems to run fine there...

Thanks for the bug report. However, GNOME 1.4 is no longer maintained.

Please upgrade to the much improved GNOME 2.2, using packages for your
distribution (see http://www.gnome.org/start/2.2) and open a new bug
if the problem persists.
