Description j_lozinski 2003-02-07 23:49:32 UTC
When trying to launch gst-player or any nautilus media type things the message:

The colorspace plug-in could not be found. This plug-in is essential for gst-player. Please install it and verify that it works by running 'gst-inspect colorspace'

appears

gst-inspect colorspace says:
INFO (10873: 0) Initializing GStreamer Core Library version 0.6.0
INFO (10873: 0) CPU features: (00000000) MMX SSE
registry: loaded user_registry in 0.000179 seconds
          (/home/loz/.gstreamer/registry.xml)
registry: loaded global_registry in 0.179832 seconds
          (/opt/gnome2/var/cache/gstreamer-0.6/registry.xml)
no such element or plugin 'colorspace'

I have searched the gstreamer/gst-plugins/gst-player sources to no avail. I can't see why it's not there, but it isn't. There is no plugin of this type.

in gst-plugins, ext/hermes/, you'll find colorspace. Install libHermes
and libHermes-devel to get it to compile.
