GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 105329
Sticky Tool Selection, shift click on tool
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
To quote the Smart Draw 6 Documentation: "Normally, after you have drawn an object using the pencil method, the selection (pointer) tool is selected automatically. If you want to draw several copies of the same kind of object, you can force the drawing tool that you are using to remain selected by holding the Shift key down the first time you click on it. Holding the Shift key down when you select any drawing tool, causes it to remain selected until you click on another tool, or drag and drop a shape." This would be a nice feature to add to Dia
I thought Shift was to be used for fixed aspect ratio? Maybe shift-click when selecting the icon can make it 'sticky' until the pointer is selected again?
Yeah, when you click the button in the toolbox you shift-click. (This would be entirely seperate from the fixed aspect ratio) I must not have been clear enough. The way you descibe this sounds to be the same how i was trying to describe it.
This feature has been added to Dia in 0.92.2.
