In several postings I see the following for the poster's name:

From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Pik@chu=AE.?= <kamphenry@hotmail.com>

both in the body view as in the header view.

The string "=?iso-8859-1?Q?Pik@chu=AE.?=" is an invalid "Q" encoding.
Pan just displays what the poster put in his header.
