keybinding for key a is not properly released after setting new shortcut
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-applets Severity: normal Version: 2.1.3 Synopsis: keybinding for key a is not properly released after setting new shortcut! Bugzilla-Product: gnome-applets Bugzilla-Component: gkb Description: Description of Problem: Hi. I use debian unstable: ii gnome-applets 2.1.3-1 Various applets for GNOME 2 panel I set the keyboard shortcut to "a" (for testing if the applet still crashes on setting any shortcut) but it WORKED! So I set another shortcut - the one I really wanted to use ( windoof + l ). This worked too. But then I went to a xterm window, where I wanted to restart samba and the "a" was catched by someone - so that it did NOT appear in the terminal!!! (but nothing else happened - only the window of the xterm was inactive for a short time!!! And though all other chars worked fine it should be the gkb-switcher which did something wrong. I then logged off and logged in again and after this the "a" was released! And this error is REPRODUCEABLE!!! Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. see above 2. 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? Additional Information: ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2003-01-19 16:41 ------- Reassigning to the default owner of the component, gnome-applets-maint@bugzilla.gnome.org.
the same happens here, i mapped the shortcut to alt-leftshift, and then alt was always catched by gkb, any other shortcuts with alt (in sawfish, xchat2) didn't work anymore
