Description steven 2003-01-10 13:26:10 UTC
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: 2.0.8
Synopsis: moving desktop icon crashes nautilus
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Desktop
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.6)

Description:
Description of Problem:
Moving the 'Home' or 'Trash' icons on the desktop crashes nautilus.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. drag the Trash icon to another location on the desktop
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Nautilus crashes

Expected Results:
Icon should relocate to another location

How often does this happen?
Almost every time.

Additional Information:
A 'worksround' is to move the icon with the right mouse button very
short distances. 1/3 times nautilus will crash, but eventually I can
move the icons where I want them.
I am running a Nvidia GeForce4 ti4200 with Twinview (dual vga) enabled.
I also have a Nvidia TNT2 installed. There are 3 monitors, gdm runs with
XINERAMA enabled.
I have tried disabling XINERAMA, leave XINERAMA enabled but only
configuring XF86Config-4 with a single monitor, moving back to a triple
setup. All configurations do the same thing.
I upgraded from 'testing' to 'unstable', logged in from gdm, migrated
the gnome settings. I deleted all my configuration files, same problem.
I can't find anything on google about my problem, so I submit a bug
report.
