Description zmook 2003-01-06 04:10:58 UTC
Description of Problem:

I want to be able to set different background
images in different workspaces. I cannot figure
out how to make metacity do this: the
Preferences > Background control panel
(gnome-background-properties) changes all four
workspaces together.

I believe this is an important feature from a UI
perspective, because it lets me tell at a glance
which workspace I'm in, without inspecting the
edge panel (which isn't always even visible).

Metacity has nothing to do with the background, fwiw.

I think this bug is already filed against either nautilus or
the background properties control panel (control-center)
