Description of Problem:
While viewing a text file with less, positioned at the end of the file,
I resized the window larger pulling on the bottom-left window control. 
Gnome-terminal crashed.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

Bigger window

Additional Information:
Red Hat 8.0, Athlon XP 2200+.  System is very reliable (no crashes or
other weird behavior), so I doubt it's a hardware problem.
