Crashed while resizing window size to a greater size.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. ssh to another box
2. view a file with less
3. resize the terminal to become larger

Actual Results:
gnome-terminal crashes(aborts) due to a fatal error

Expected Results:
a larger terminal window was expected.
