Description of Problem:

sometimes gnome-terminal crashes when resized to maximum size.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.  start an application in gnome-terminal (for me it happens when using
a pine session when logged in to a distant machine
2.  maximize the window
3.  crash

Actual Results:

crash

Expected Results:

maximized window
