Description of Problem:
Every time when I try to change my backgroud in
the Control center appeare this error

Please get us a backtrace of the error. Which version of control-center?

I am experiencing the same problem.  Here are a few more details:

Description of problem:
I'm running SuSE 8.1 (a fresh install).

From within the ControlCenter, every time I select the "Background"
tree item (under the "Desktop" tree item) I get a Segmentation fault.
 The stacktrace is at the end of this comment.

Steps to reproduce:
1.  From the Start Application menu, select System -> WM ->
Screensaver.  This will open the ControlCenter (Observation:  this
seems to open a DIFFERENT version of ControlCenter than is opened when
I select Start Application -> Control Center).
2.  Now that ControlCenter is open, select the "Background" tree item.
3.  The segmentation fault should occur immediately
