Could you get us a stack trace? Can't tell without it, but this is
likely #94598 based on your description and the other reports we're
getting.
Comment 2 Constantin Teodorescu 2002-10-08 13:04:20 UTC
Actually, I can't give any stack trace. I just tested RedHat 8.0 on a
new system that was available this morning but it's not available
anymore. I installed RedHat 8.0 , got the error, then installed Linux
Mandrake 9.0 , test it, then reinstalled RedHat 8.0 from scratch
again, got the same error, in the same place, at the same time. More
information (but I don't think it's related to Nautilus, itmay be
gnome): after that crash, in a couple of minutes, I got a X reset
(like in Ctrl/Alt/Backspace) and I was forced to log int again. After
a "root" login, I came back to a "normal user" login and this time the
crash didn't come up. This happened in my both attempts to install
RedHat 8.0.

Without a stack trace, unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. Sorry.
Comment 4 John Johnson 2002-10-09 01:29:06 UTC
After initial clean install of Red Hat 8.0 (with default options) on
IBM T22 laptop (PIII, 900 Mhz, 256 MB), encounter the same crash as
described in bug 95145.
Comment 5 John Fleck 2002-10-09 02:02:10 UTC
95145 is this bug. Do you mean you get the same stack trace as 94598?
