Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: 2.0.0 Synopsis: Cannot rename "untitled folder" Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: File and Folder Operations Description: Description of Problem: I have created a new folder in the applications:/// area in which to put my Star Office icons. I can change the icon for the folder, but cannot rename it under any circumstances. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Use Nautilus to browse to the applications:/// area 2. Select File->New Folder from the menu 3. Either right click on the file and select properties or do the same from the File menu Actual Results: The dialog box seems to accept the new name for the folder, but the view doesn't change and the menu still has "untitled folder". Indeed, the Applications menu shows this folder with no icon where the folder is shown with whichever icon I choose for it under Nautilus. Expected Results: Expect the folder to be renamed and any name or icon changes to be reflected in the menu also How often does this happen? every single time Additional Information: I am using RedHat7.3 with the Ximian RedCarpet daily snapshots of GNOME 2.0 Development channel ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-07-05 19:41 ------- The original reporter (duncan@innes.net) of this bug does not have an account here.
