Description nash 2002-07-04 00:32:05 UTC
Currently when you open the second tab the size of the window increases.
This is irritating if the terminal is at the bottom of the screen or
similar and causes part of the window to be move below the panel.

It would be nice if I could set the terminal to always have the tabs
visible (ala Galeons tabbed browsing)

Why an option instead of just fixing it?
Comment 2 nash 2002-07-04 03:48:41 UTC
Mainly because I don't think users who use tabs should have to put up
with a wopping great tab which just echos the title.
Comment 3 nash 2002-07-04 04:08:04 UTC
Sorry - that should be users who DON'T use tabs should have to put
up with a tab when they don't use them.

In either case an option to 'hide tabs' would do the job for both users.

This is probably best dealt with in terms of bugs 78777 and 78776;
marking this a dup of 78776.
