Description Frans.Duijnhouwer 2002-06-30 20:04:12 UTC
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: normal
Version: 1.4.0.8
Synopsis: Starting staroffice 5.2 crashes the panel
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: Panel

Description:
Directly after starting StarOffice 5.2 an error message box appears
saying that the
Panel application has crashed (segmentation fault). After canceling the
message box
Panel is automatically restarted and functions normally. StarOffice also
works without
any problems.

Note: I've installed StarOffice on another machine than the one it's run
on, so
staroffice is read from a disk mounted with NFS.

This is a known crash caused by corruption of internal data structures
in the panel. We still haven't found the bug though.
