GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 85956
Nautilus crashes on gnome2 preferences
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: nautilus Severity: major Version: 2.0.0 Synopsis: Nautilus crashes on gnome2 preferences Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.1) Description: Description of Problem: Changing gnome2 preferences through nautilus crashes the program. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to Start Here/Destop Preferences 2. Choose a preference and set it/close it 3. Choose a second preference Actual Results: The second preference window opens (and works), but nautilus crashes (segfaults); thankfully, it restarts by itself without problems. Expected Results: No crash ;-) How often does this happen? Everytime, either in my locale or without any predefined locale (that is, english), with sawfish and enlightenment as the WM. I created a new user from scratch and the same happens, so it's not an issue with my home dir preferences. Additional Information: This is debian unstable with the gnome2 packages from experimental; the machine is an AMD k6-2/500MHz with 192Mb RAM. Nautilus crashes sometimes on other circunstances also, but this one is the first I can reproduce consistently. Don't know if this is a debian issue.
