Description:
well ! I start X manually from the systemprompt and this has happened to the root account also . Before all loading is finished the panel appears but no buttons or clock. when i create an new account in the system it appears to work for a while but crashes after 5 / 6 logins .

Please try gnome-core-1.4.1 and gnome-libs-1.4.1.7 or newer and report
back here if this helps or not. We have reports of this being fixed in
these releases.
