When selecting a desktop item (for instance the home icon) and then
deselecting it, some of the selection indicator does not go away, which
looks a little odd and unprofessional.

Hrm... there are a few dups of this laying around. I'll have to try to
find them later. Would be nice to fix.

I haven't been able to reproduce this with the new canvas changes,
please reopen if this is still a problem.
