GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 83482
Background Preferences background color should be described more cleanly.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The current description in the background Preferences for the background colors is confusing, and should be changed to something more easily understood. Currently it reads, "Border picture with a:" Does this mean that each image will have a colored border with the background is Wallpaper? Or that a Centered image will have a narrow color border around it? I know what it means, but it is unclear. I propose that is should read, "Set background color as a:" with the following options: solid, horizontal gradient, vertical gradient.
Agree with this UI change, "border with" is very confusing.
Recent releases changed this to 'Background Style' and adjusts the colour names.
