Description Gagneet Singh 2002-05-28 12:58:47 UTC
Description:
I have been logging in as a user and working on the GNOME desktop. This
bug only comes up when the user is chosen as 'root' and the desktop is
GNOME. It does not occur for the other desktop managers or for other users.

I am using Red Hat distribution 7.2. and the machine is a HP Brio BA600. I
have added an additional 40GB HDD on which the distribution has been
installed. I have done a complete install of the distribution excluding
only Boot for Laptops and the 'smp' booting options.

Also a 10GB HDD is connected as slave to the secondary master on which
Windows 98 is present. This is being accessed via mounting the HDD in
the 'fstab' file under /etc.

Known problem in the 1.4.x. panel. We are working on this bug and
appreciate any help in finding it. It looks like corruption of
internal data structures of some kind.
