Description Miguel de Icaza 2002-05-24 17:07:58 UTC
The new gnome terminal should support controlling whether the wtmp file is
updated or not (this is the `who is logged into the system' record).
Comment 1 Havoc Pennington 2002-05-24 18:25:30 UTC
It's done via the profile; if you want it from the command line you
can do --window-with-profile=no-utmp-profile or whatever.
Comment 2 Miguel de Icaza 2002-05-24 18:51:22 UTC
This is something that Unix users might invoke from a remote ssh or
rlogin or god knows what else.

As I mentioned in my other bug report, now it is necessary to first
log into a system to customize it before being able to use the system.
Then it will also be non-conformant.
