Description Michael Rothwell 2002-05-11 20:50:01 UTC
The gnome-vfs-extras smb module asks for a username and password once for
each share on a given server, when browsing the available shares on that
server. This is rather annoying, and with a lot of shares, quite
time-consuming.

It might be nice to have gnome-vfs cache the authentication credentials and
attempt to use them in the same domain/workgroup, or at least for shares on
the same server.

I think gnome-vfs-extras smb module should have an option to remember
all usernames and passwords. Maybe this can be implemented with Gconf2 ?
