Is this a dup of bug 54068?
I was the original reporter of this bug. Running gnome on Redhat 7.2 custom selected workstation with all the current Redhat errata and bug fixes. Hardware is a PII 266, maxtor 6.4 gig (5400) hd, 128 MB SDRAM. At the time, I was running Opera 5.2, apache with php, pine, gnumeric and postgresql (I was doing my annual business taxes and closing year-end books). I started getting "panel crashed" popup windows and X would respawn, then the pannel respawned constantly... faster than I could kill each instance. The best I could do was run bugzilla, and soon after a complete format and reinstall of the OS. I'm not a programmer, and was at a loss to do anything else.
