GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 80485
Intermittent panel crashes at startup
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 1.4.0.4 Synopsis: Intermittent panel crashes at startup Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel Description: Sometimes, with no discernable pattern, panel refuses to start up, but crashes immediately on startup. Reinstalling the gnome-core rpm is one way to remedy this situation. There probably is something wrong in a startup file somewhere, but I have not found what. This may be related to the fact that I regularly loose settings of the panel. No it doesn't start empty, just the latest changes are not registered. I always log out the same way, and I cannot find any pattern in when this occurs. Debugging Information: (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... 0x405c01d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
