Description Heath Harrelson 2002-04-24 04:05:38 UTC
The about box for the window list applet contains the description:

"The Window List shows a list of all vis
windows and let you browse them."

rather than:

"The Window List shows a list of all visible
windows and lets you browse them."

The word "visible" appears to be cropped by the right side of the window.

Comment 3 Arvind S N 2002-04-25 04:19:45 UTC
heath:In the about dialog i get here, text is not getting cropped.
btw, i am having panel 1.5.18 and also I am on RH 7.1, not sure
what these should matter.
Comment 4 Heath Harrelson 2002-04-25 22:06:02 UTC
Weird. I also have panel version 1.5.18 from the April 23 Ximian
snapshot.
Comment 5 Luis Villa 2002-04-25 22:42:57 UTC
Heath, Arvind: when are your gtk's from? a bug that would have caused
this was recently fixed in gtk; perhaps either Heath has an older gtk
in which the bug was not fixed or it somehow got reverted in gtk and
Arvind's gtk does not have the reversion?

FWIW, I see it here in snapshots as well.
Comment 6 Kjartan Maraas 2002-04-27 18:49:09 UTC
If this is the same bug that cuts off tekst in menu entries it was
never really fixed. I compiled the "fixed" gtk+ the same day the fix
landed and it didn't work for me :(
Comment 7 Heath Harrelson 2002-04-27 20:49:00 UTC
Luis -- I just upgraded my snapshot and the cropped text is still there.

gtk2-2.0.2.0.200204252035-0.snap.ximian.1
gtk2-devel-2.0.2.0.200204252035-0.snap.ximian.1
Comment 8 Luis Villa 2002-05-01 05:18:28 UTC
Kjartan: did you reopen the gtk bug then? :) I'm still seeing it with
a build from the 25th but that's the latest I have.
Comment 9 Kjartan Maraas 2002-05-02 18:05:04 UTC
No. I'll hunt it down.
Comment 10 Heath Harrelson 2002-05-09 05:07:00 UTC
The cropping is fixed here now, although the patch for the grammatical
error has yet to be applied.

Adding PATCH keyword and upping to high.
Comment 11 Kjartan Maraas 2002-05-10 14:47:44 UTC
I applied the typo fix. Closing as fixed.
