I was at this Slashdot page:

Clicked on the "user manual" link in the sentence " there is the user's
manual work that Sun has been doing.", which points here: 

http://developer.gnome.org/downloads/gdp/GNOMESSUG.pdf

Galeon downloads the PDF, a new PDF window is opened, and the panel
crashes.

It looks almost as if the Panel crashed right after the PDF window was
opened, but before the icon was displayed in the Task Bar.
