Description Misty Stanley-Jones 2002-04-23 16:28:52 UTC
When I try to add a launcher for the Terminal to the menu panel, I get a
complaint about a missing file. I have attached a screen shot.

Reassigning to gnome-panel. [Sorry for the 1.4<->2.0 confusion.] This
would be great for 2.0.0, guys, but without duplication I can't really
put it on 2.0.0 at this point. Wipro, can you duplicate?
Comment 3 Jathish 2002-05-02 08:54:21 UTC
Here we are not able to reproduce this bug. Its working fine here
Comment 4 Jathish 2002-05-02 09:06:21 UTC
I forgot to mention the version info. I have tested on Solaris 2.8
and panel version is 1.5.19.
Comment 5 Stephen Browne 2002-05-02 11:51:23 UTC
Okay I fixed this.

The problem only occurs for Solaris users with an NFS mounted homedir.

mkdir(2) gets an ENOSYS from NFS instead of EEXIST for a dir that
already exists.

Fix is in cvs HEAD
Comment 6 Glynn Foster 2002-05-02 11:53:32 UTC
Fixed as per Stephen's comments.
Comment 7 Misty Stanley-Jones 2002-05-02 15:18:50 UTC
It is readily reproducible on my end. I updated to the 5/1/02 nightly
build (internal to Sun) and now I can add the launcher, but I still
get the error and have to click "OK". If you have anybody internal to
Sun I will be happy to give them a login to my system, so that they
can see for themselves.
Comment 8 Misty Stanley-Jones 2002-05-02 15:20:52 UTC
My version is 1.5.18 and that is with the nightly build from
yesterday. I'm not sure how to get this new version.
Comment 9 Misty Stanley-Jones 2002-05-02 15:23:37 UTC
Oops, I see that you fixed this. I was dealing with my emails one at
a time. I will close the bug again. :)
Comment 10 Glynn Foster 2002-05-07 10:45:11 UTC
Closing as suggested above.
