GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 796105
Stable version is 2.10 but 2.8's docs are linked
Last modified: 2018-05-15 07:50:47 UTC
https://www.gimp.org/ says 2.10 is the current stable release. Docs at the top of that page goes to https://www.gimp.org/docs/ where, on choosing English, I arrive at https://docs.gimp.org/2.8/en/ for 2.8. I can manually edit that to https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/ but only if I spot the need. Shouldn't Docs take me to 2.10 directly?
Also, in gimp 2.10.0, the menu item Help -> Gimp Online -> User Manual Web Site opens https://docs.gimp.org/ that's headed `Work in Progress - GIMP 2.8'.
I fixed the first issue on the docs page. For the second issue, I think the documentation team is still working on updating the docs and probably just haven't revamped the main page yet. Could you please open a separate bug report for this other issue, and assign it to the project "gimp-manual" please. Thanks Jehan. Opened bug 796126 on gimp-manual, as requested.
