Description Di Mang 2018-03-26 20:15:47 UTC
Created attachment 370163 [details]
example - fields without properties in dialog "Edit Account"

I can't set or change any properties in dialog "Edt Account". Additionally some fields don't show the content in GnuCash 2.7.8 (s. Screenshot). In GnuCash 2.6.19 all works fine.

"Tools" > "Online Banking Setup..." > "Start Online Banking Wizard" > "AqBanking Setup" > "Edit Account"

It appears only in dropdown fields. Maybe it depends on the size of the fields (see bug 120556). But it is not possible ro resize the dialog window.
Comment 1 John Ralls 2018-03-26 20:31:30 UTC
What I see is that the list boxes don't display the selection when they're closed. They *do* display it in the open list and changing it seems to persist--I can change e.g. the account type and it persists if I close the dialog and reopen it.
Comment 2 Di Mang 2018-03-26 21:14:33 UTC
You are right. It seems like the changes are saved, but they are not displayed, if the list boxes are closed.
Comment 3 Di Mang 2018-03-26 21:28:24 UTC
For example, I can't read the content from the field "Currency" because another entry is immediately activated when I open the field.
Comment 4 John Ralls 2018-03-27 18:21:40 UTC
Bob Fewell, would you please have a look at this?
Comment 5 Bob 2018-03-29 15:20:07 UTC
will do once I have finished fixing imap editor.
Comment 6 Bob 2018-03-31 16:41:40 UTC
Fixed hopefully on PR328
Comment 7 Frank H. Ellenberger 2018-04-01 01:38:28 UTC
FYI: according https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-de/2018-March/010246.html CStim removed in commit 55a2504 some obsolete fields from gnc-plugin-aqbanking-ui.xml in stable.
Comment 8 John Ralls 2018-04-01 02:38:46 UTC
I've merged Bob's PR and tested on Mac. It fixes the blank combo-box issue. I don't know whether Christian's change has anything do with this or not.
Comment 9 John Ralls 2018-04-01 02:40:13 UTC
It will go in 3.0, which will release tomorrow or Monday depending on how long it takes me to get through all of the overhead. Dimang, please test either a git pull or 3.0.
Comment 10 Di Mang 2018-04-01 10:59:50 UTC
I have just tested it on Ubuntu (from git). It works fine. I can see all entries in combo-boxes. And I can change it. Thanks!

Another point mentioned by Frank (s. comment 7) is obsolete fields in menu:
Actions > Online Actions > ( Issue Transaction... | Issue SEPA Transaction... | Internal Transaction... | Direct Debit...). Currently only one of these four menu items works: "Issue SEPA Transaction...". Other menu items do not work, because they are obsolete and were disabled by CStim.
Maybe it makes sense to remove them from the menu. In addition, the corresponding settings in menu "Edit Account" (as checkbox) must be removed (s. screenshot: "Prefer Single ..."). Should I report it as a new bug?
Comment 11 Frank H. Ellenberger 2018-04-01 14:45:49 UTC
Di Mang: Yes, create a new bug for component aqbanking, not "General GUI".

Can you now continue to test bug 792452?

Thanks
Comment 12 Di Mang 2018-04-01 15:20:06 UTC
@Frank: I can find only "Import - AqBanking" In Bugzilla. There is no general component for aqbanking.
Comment 13 Frank H. Ellenberger 2018-04-01 15:28:45 UTC
Yes, that is it. Aqbanking is one way to import data.

The "general" and user "interface general" components are more for "the issue is related to more than one component" or "I am too lazy to search the right component". ;-)
