Description Ben Burrill 2018-02-23 21:08:24 UTC
When "Always watch for new mail" is set and Geary is closed and reopened, the state of the user interface does not reset. This means that when opening Geary, one typically needs to scroll up to see new mail or navigate to the inbox. I find this rather annoying.

This would probably be a good thing, and I think it would fall out naturally when we land support for multiple main windows, since that would likely end up meaning that instead of hiding the existing single min window, we simply close it instead. So adding a dependency on Bug 741648.

If someone wants to provide some patches for it beforehand I wouldn't be opposed however.

This will fall out of the work for this issue: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/issues/604

So closing in favour of that.
