Description Alen Siljak 2018-01-05 14:06:55 UTC
Sorting transactions by due date would help focus on the ones that are most past due.
Also to check if a transaction should have come and in reality it hasn't.
Or the other way around - if there are transactions expected but we don't want to deal with them straight away, sorting in descending order would allow focusing only on the recent ones (that did go through).

I am trying to solve irregular-schedule chaos by setting the due date further back but adding a reminder several days in advance.
This, in turn, is creating periods with numerous active notifications and it is easy to miss the "To-Create" ones among many "Reminder" ones.

This would also not be necessary if https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660375 was implemented.
The scheduled transactions window already allows sorting the records by the next due date which, in combination with the manual triggering of individual records, would be just enough.

(GnuCash 3.0)
Scheduled transactions should save the sorting criteria.
Current behavior is, sort by next scheduled.
Personal preference would be alphabetically.
In the current version, it is always reversed on startup to next scheduled.

Note that inactive sx should probably not be reflected in next scheduled, but currently are (that is, they usually show on top).
