GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 790417
Some mails are missing
Last modified: 2017-11-24 08:16:10 UTC
I'm using evolution-ews. Sometimes I got a mail for which notification is shown by gnome-shell but it is not shown in Inbox. Restarting evolution doesn't help. It is shown in OWA.
See https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/mail-cannot-see.html
(In reply to André Klapper from comment #1) > See https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/mail-cannot-see.html "Check whether you are using filters on incoming (or outgoing) messages. These could be automatically moving your messages to another destination." I use server side filters only. I have checked OWA after the evolution got emails. "Check your search view in the search bar right above the message list. Perhaps the Show dropdown list is set to a filter like Read Messages, or the text input filed contains some value. Click the broom icon to clear the search field." Yes, I've checked. Besides other mails in the same thread appears normally. "If you cannot see any emails at all in a folder (...)" N/A "Look in the Junk folder. Messages that are marked as Junk disappear from the original folder and are moved to the Junk folder." Well, they aren't there. Beside they should be removed server side as well, I think. "Click View ▸ Show Deleted Messages to make sure all messages are visible." No, it isn't deleted. "Check your default folder under Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Email Accounts ▸ Edit ▸ Defaults. Perhaps it is set to some other folder than the folder you thought of." Well, no. This is about INBOX (possibly silently other folders). -------- In short - I do know that message is in the folder as I have checked it by different client (OWA).
Thanks for a bug report. There had been reported such issue recently, like bug #786636, though you set your version to be 3.24.x. What exact version is it, please?

I see, that might be it. The fixes landed after that release. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 786636 ***
