GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 789105
Add support for Appearance property
Last modified: 2019-03-20 10:41:07 UTC
So a pen shows up as a pen, for example: https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/gatt/viewer?attributeXmlFile=org.bluetooth.characteristic.gap.appearance.xml
A lot of those are already handled in: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/bluetooth/bluez.git/tree/src/dbus-common.c#n211 We'd need to go through the list, see which ones we'd want in the spec and/or in GNOME, and add those.
I think the pen and watch would be pretty useful to add. Jakub, thoughts?
Having some generic device types would be nice. What sort of device icons are we missing? I see that we have these, that might be applicable: computer-symbolic input-keyboard-symbolic audio-input-microphone-symbolic phone-symbolic input-gaming-symbolic input-mouse-symbolic audio-headphones-symbolic audio-headset-symbolic input-tablet-symbolic
