Description Sebastien Bacher 2017-07-31 09:28:15 UTC
Using GNOME 2.24.2 offline
- open the sharing panel
- enable sharing
- go to the files/screen sharing section and try to click on the switch

The switch toggle directly back to be off without giving any feedback to why it's failing. The log has this error

There is no real use to sharing when you are offline but it should be possible to do configurations changes
Comment 1 André Klapper 2021-06-09 16:28:14 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
