GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 785544
Middle click to directory
Last modified: 2021-06-18 15:53:01 UTC
There is a conflict in middle click action between gnome-shell and nautilus. In order to replicate: 1- In nautilus middle click to a directory (in the titlebar) and verify that directory is opened in a new tab (as expected). 2- Open gnome-tweak-tool, go to "Windows" and select an action for "Middle click" under "Titlebar actions" (such as minimize). 3- Now repeat the 1st step and observe that it doesn't work anymore. Expected result: Nautilus opens the directory in a new tab after a a middle-click on the directory, and applies the chosen action (such as minimize) if the middle-click is on a blank part of the titlebar. best,
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
