Description Colin.Brough 2017-07-28 15:42:17 UTC
evince crashes (SIGSEGV) IFF the number of pages in a PDF file currently being displayed is reduced (eg freshly generated from LaTeX, with fewer pages) AND the page currently displayed ceases to exist.

Seems the same as this debian bug: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=770673

Seems the same as this Ubuntu bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1523235

No, it's not that Debian bug. This looks like bug #735744, which was fixed in version 3.19.92. Which version of evince are you using?
Comment 2 Colin.Brough 2017-07-28 16:18:55 UTC
OK. Using "GNOME Document Viewer 3.18.2" (Ubuntu 16.04) mostly, and that was where I was seeing it. Checked it against "GNOME Document Viewer 3.24.0" (Ubuntu 17.04, which I'm not yet using day-to-day) and it works OK. Thanks - and sorry for not double checking before add bug!
