Description Bastien Nocera 2017-05-02 12:57:34 UTC
The headphones/headset/mic selection dialogue pops up on top of the shield when plugged in and the screen is locked. The dialogue should probably be queued up until the screen is unlocked. And if the headphones are unplugged before the screen is unlocked, we'd dismiss it.

Still happens in 3.26. I'll try to come up with a simple test application to help with debugging, as I know that the lack of hardware can be a problem.

Select which choice should appear in the gnome-shell dialogue, and click
"Ask!". The result of the selection will appear underneath the button.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
