GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 781985
Google accounts get logged out and won't login anymore
Last modified: 2017-05-11 21:55:22 UTC
Created attachment 350771 [details] Screenshots of the issue. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. I login for the first time to the Google account in Gnome Online Accounts, it works with no problems. 2. After a while the credentials expire (screenshot #1). 3. I try to login again but the window keep saying the credentials expired. 4. I proceed to delete the account but an error message appears (screenshot # 2) 5. I go to seahorse and delete the stored credentials. 6. I try to login again but the same issue persist. I use Fedora 25. Images are compressed in a zip file.
Did you happen to log out/in without a reboot before this happened? Does a reboot 'fix' it?
(In reply to Debarshi Ray from comment #1) > Did you happen to log out/in without a reboot before this happened? Does a > reboot 'fix' it? I didn't reboot my computer immediately after I deleted the account but I noticed this still didn't work after I turned my computer off when I went to bed and turn it on the day after. I can't test this again because my laptop's keyboard broke and to send it to repair I had to delete my fedora installation and re-install windows again because my computer is still under warranty.
Similar issue here. I was happily using my Google account with goa, got a message about suspicious activity this morning and had to change my Google account password. On my laptop (Fedora 25), I removed the account, try to add it again using the new password but when I enter the password instead of getting the two step verification dialogue I get a blank window. See the attached shot. Google has very recently changed their login page. Can it be causing the issue? https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7338427
