GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 779415
Translated X-Geoclue-Reason string not used in a dialog window
Last modified: 2017-03-20 20:01:26 UTC
Created attachment 346964 [details] gnome-weather showing X-Geoclue-Reason in English When opening gnome-weather (or gnome-clocks [bug #779413]) for the first time, GNOME shows a dialog that asks for permission to access location (since commit 4d1ec657652e69c9476d469b6a388c8431c78de2). This dialog should use X-Geoclue-Reason string that belongs to https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-weather/tree/data/org.gnome.Weather.Application.desktop.in "_X-Geoclue-Reason=Allows weather information to be displayed for your location." This string has been in .pot file since 3.19 and has been translated in Finnish (since commit 6efd040a44a3223fc8111d9cb63775d756192c9a) before the release of 3.20 so it should be used at least in 3.20.2. However, the dialog still uses English string instead of translated string. This bug affects 3.20.2 on fully up-to-date Fedora 25, and as far as I can remember, both 3.20 (Fedora 24) and 3.24 (Fedora 26) as well.
