Description Juraj Fiala 2017-02-16 18:31:17 UTC
While scrolling with a mouse does zoom under Wayland, scrolling with a trackpoint (middle button + move) does not. This makes scrolling in a trackpoint workflow tedious.
Comment 1 Felix Riemann 2017-03-05 10:41:19 UTC
Hmm, I guess this is because the mouse pointer locks in place once you press the middle mouse button in Wayland. Not sure if there's something I can do about that.

Is there a reason you are using the middle mouse button for this? Holding the left mouse button allows moving the image too even in Wayland.

Sorry, I mixed up zoom and scroll, a lot. Here’s the description again, fixed:

In other words, you cannot zoom with a Trackpoint without using the GUI controls.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
