GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 772470
Ability to run script prior to gnome-shell/mutter startup for optimus

In short, Optimus/PRIME offloading needs xrandr commands executed after xserver startup and *before* gnome-shell/mutter starts up. In gdm session, all userscripts are disabled and autostart is now executed tooooo late so gnome-shell/mutter crashes. Easiest for me was to hack into gdm-x-session lauching a script there right after xserver startup. This is needed! xorg.conf options for this are not any near even talked about. For more info and hack-patch see bug 768204
