GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 771379
GnuCash don't recognize Russian Ruble Symbol
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:51:05 UTC
For example in GnuCash settings the local currency - Russian Ruble is chosen. But GnuCash don't recognize a symbol of Russian Ruble (₽). The program shows a question mark (?) instead of it. Is it possible to correct this error?
I guess we just missed it when it was introduced in 2013. Added now. This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.
Thank you very much, John! But just one moment - I used Windows 7, not Linux...
That last bit is a canned message provided by the Gnome folks. There will be a new Windows installer on Sourceforge and Github with a link from our website when we do the release this weekend.
Note that while the new symbol will be added in gnucash 2.6.14, you may still see a question mark instead of the symbol. That may happen if the default font gnucash selects on Windows doesn't have the symbol. If you run into this, you can use "Select GnuCash Theme" from the Windows start menu to choose a different font.
I apologize that the question doesn't correspond to a subject, but there is no OK button in a dialog window of the choice of style. And if I cahange a style or selected own, it is not clear, if style has changed or not.
Um, sorry, we need a bit more detail. Rather than continuing on this closed bug report perhaps you could subscribe to gnucash-user@gnucash.org and ask there.
Thank you very much for 2.6.14 Release! After update I see a question mark instead of a Ruble symbol. I use Arial font in which there is a Ruble symbol. What I have to make still to see a Ruble symbol?
