GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 76873
add gnome logo to the left edge of the "gnome menu"
Last modified: 2015-03-24 13:00:35 UTC
Thats probably a horrible description: In KDE and windows the left edge of the equivalent "gnome menu" has a snazzy logo. It would be cool if the gnome menu had this too. It could say "Gnome Desktop" or maybe we could make the image configurable, so distro's could change it to reflect their particular logo (eg "Redhat Linux"). I'll attach a kde screen shot of this, if i'm not clear enough.
Created attachment 7436 [details] KDE screenshot, see lower left corner.
yeah, I only though that the other day too
Eck. I've always found that ugly and I'll lobby for ximian to leave it empty, but... obviously up to you, mark :)
No, not really up to me. If someone wants it bad enough they'll have to make a patch and get wide support on desktop-devel-list before I'll accept it :-)
Mmmmhhhh... I think there's a patch for this in XD2. Can't find it though...

Bug 130657 has a patch (which may be uptodate), so I'm closing this bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 130657 ***
