Unlike screenshots, recordings fail when the default directory doesn't
exist. Fall back to home instead.

ok.  matches what screenshots do, so makes sense to me.

(I do think them ending up in ~ is suboptimal, but this will only happen in misconfigured systems anyway, so whatever)
